What's great is that this information wasn't gleaned through FOI or similar, merely by walking into his office when he wasn't there. Alas, no ninja/spooks style intrusions, this was legally under the guise of London Open House. Long gone are the days of seeing over 5 things in the same day, this year I did 3. Bank of England and Channel4 (twice although not getting to see the really interesting bits) on Saturday. Given I've the closet economist in me, it was neat to have been in the room where the MPC set interest rates - worth the 2 hour queue I think.
On Sunday saw an amazingly detailed scale model of the City of London, used to market the City around the world, which is only viewable by the public in Open house, this is a shame to me, but I feel happy to be one of the 1100 people to have seen it this year.
